Mukesh K. Sharma, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Sharma received his medical degree from Punjab University, India, in 1976. Following his training in medicine and cardiology at the London and Oxford University teaching hospitals in England, he completed additional cardiology fellowships at the Universities of Oklahoma and Iowa. He served on the faculty of the University of Iowa College of Medicine in internal medicine and cardiology. In 1992, he received the prestigious American College of Cardiology Young Investigator of the Year Award for his research in heart disease.  Dr. Sharma joined the practice in 1993.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine as well as Interventional Cardiology.  He is a member of the American Heart Association Councils on Basic Science, Arteriosclerosis and Circulation. He also is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association and the Roane-Anderson Medical Society.
